Mississippi Public Employees' Retirement System, Jackson, hired Great-West Retirement Services as third-party administrator of its $1.3 billion 457 plan, according to a posting on its website.
An RFP was issued in March. The current third-party administrator is Systematized Benefits Administrators. Whether the firm was invited to rebid could not be learned by press time.
The transition will be effective Jan. 17. A blackout period for participants will begin at 3 p.m. CST on Jan. 13 and end at the close of the business day on Jan. 31.
