Leah Bennett was named co-chief investment officer at South Texas Money Management, confirmed spokeswoman Josie Dorris.
It is a new position. Ms. Dorris said the firm considers it a “supplemental” position and not a split of the CIO job. Jeanie Wyatt, founder and CEO, remains as co-CIO.
Ms. Bennett was hired earlier this year as a senior portfolio manager and investment analyst. She will not be replaced in that position.
South Texas Money Management has about $2 billion in assets under management in equity, fixed-income and balanced strategies.
