Los Angeles County Employees' Retirement Association, Pasadena, Calif., committed up to $10 million each to two Union Square Ventures' funds: USV Opportunity 2014 and USV 2014, said David Kushner, chief investment officer for the $44.9 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
USV Opportunity 2014 is a late-stage fund, and USV 2014 is an early-stage fund.
Separately, LACERA signed a letter to Congress opposing efforts to require shareholder disputes to go to arbitration and ban shareholder class-action lawsuits.
