Josh Cohen was named managing director, head of institutional defined contribution, at Russell Investments, confirmed spokeswoman Kate Stouffer.
Mr. Cohen replaces Richard Davies, who left the firm to pursue another professional opportunity, according to Ms. Stouffer. Mr. Cohen reports to Greg Gilbert, CEO, Americas institutional.
Mr. Cohen was previously defined contribution practice leader. Regarding a replacement for his previous role, Ms. Stouffer wrote in an e-mail that Mr. Cohen is “currently assessing the team's needs as well as those of DC clients.” Mr. Cohen and his team will assume his previous responsibilities in the interim.
