Fulton County Employees Retirement System, Atlanta, hired Apex Capital Management and The London Co. to run about $50 million each in active domestic smidcap equities, confirmed Tammy E. Goebeler, investment officer for the county's department of finance.
Apex Capital will run growth; The London Co. will run core. The hires are a result of the $1.3 billion pension fund increasing its allocation to domestic small/midcap equities to 17% from 12% and reducing its domestic fixed-income allocation to 25% from 30%. No managers were terminated.
