Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, Oak Brook, on Tuesday issued an RFP for at least one U.S. middle-market buyout manager owned by minorities, women or people with disabilities.
A total of up to $25 million will be assigned to the portfolio, which will be limited to three sectors, according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on IMRF's website. All questions must be sent via e-mail to [email protected]. Proposals are due Jan. 2. A selection is expected by Feb. 27.
The $32.3 billion pension fund has a 6% target allocation to alternative investments.
IMRF officials would not provide further information on the search, citing a quiet period established for the RFP.
