The Connecticut State Treasurer's office is accepting applications for the position of principal investment officer in charge of about $15 billion in domestic and international equities for its pension fund management division, confirmed David Barrett, a spokesman for Treasurer Denise Nappier.
John Massey, who previously held that post, left in 2012 for another opportunity, Mr. Barrett said. He didn't have further details.
The pension fund management division is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the $27 billion Connecticut Retirement Plans & Trust Funds, Hartford.
“Our goal is to have the position filled within the next six months,” Mr. Barrett wrote in an e-mail.
Questions about the position should be sent to Michelle Tedrick, senior consultant at executive recruiter Hudepohl & Associates, via e-mail at [email protected].
