Paul Abberley left his role as head of investments at Aviva Investors, a spokeswoman confirmed.
She did not have further details.
Mr. Abberley had been interim CEO until July 1, when he handed those responsibilities at the money manager to John Misselbrook. Euan Munro will take over as CEO in January.
“Paul Abberley left the business at the end of November. Over the past few months, Paul worked closely with our CEO John Misselbrook to further develop our investment proposition,” the spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman was not able to provide details about a replacement by press time.
A source familiar with the situation said Mr. Abberley's departure was not related to other recent departures at Aviva Investors, which were due to parent company Aviva's strategic review of the entire group earlier this year.
