Institutional investors allocating more than $1 billion to real estate are most interested in value-added strategies in the coming 12-month period. According to Preqin's December Real Estate Spotlight, 68% of such investors are targeting value-added real estate investments, 64% are targeting core investments and 54% are searching for opportunistic funds.
Search activity indicates only 14% are targeting debt investments, while 11% are seeking distressed funds.
