St. Louis Firefighters' Retirement Plan issued an RFP for its first investment consultant.
The $2 million pension fund was created Feb. 1, the same day that benefit accruals were frozen in the $445 million St. Louis Firemen's Retirement System. Both retirement systems continue to function with separate boards of trustees.
The RFP is available from the city's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. CST on Dec. 23. A decision is expected in January, with a contract start date in February.
Richard Frank, secretary for the retirement plan, did not return phone calls for further information by press time.
