Chicago Park Employees' Annuity & Benefit Fund hired Invesco to run about $13 million in risk parity, according to recently released minutes of the Oct. 17 board meeting.
The board allocated up to 3% of total assets to Invesco. AQR Capital Management was also a finalist.
An RFP was issued in February. Investment consultant Marquette Associates assisted the $420 million pension fund.
Dean Niedospial, executive director of the pension fund, and Michael Spychalski, assistant vice president at Marquette, could not be reached by press time.
