Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for an active emerging markets equity manager to run about $75 million.
The $11.7 billion pension fund is looking for an active, long-only, market-oriented/core emerging markets equity manager, according to an RFP posted on the pension fund's website.
The pension fund's target allocation to international equities is 22.5% of the total fund, with a permissible range of 17.5% to 27.5%. The actual allocation to international equities as of Sept. 30 was 25.7%.
Further details regarding the funding source could not be learned by press time.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. EST on Dec. 13. Finalist presentations are tentatively scheduled for the week of Jan. 13, with a decision scheduled for the pension fund's Feb. 19 meeting.
