Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, Topeka, committed up to $50 million to Crestview Partners III, a middle-market private equity fund, confirmed Laurie McKinnon, general counsel.
It is the $14.3 billion pension fund's first commitment to Crestview.
The plan also committed an additional $50 million to Prime Property Fund, an open-end core real estate fund managed by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Advisor. KPERS had about $99 million invested in the fund as of June 30.
