David R. Wilson was named managing director at Nuveen Asset Management, where he will lead its new institutional services group.
The position is new, Mr. Wilson said. He will report to William T. Huffman, Nuveen Asset Management president.
The new group will provide liability-driven investment strategies to corporate defined benefit plans as well as other customized investment strategies for pension funds, foundations, endowments and insurance companies, among other institutional investors, Mr. Wilson said. “We had all the pieces to the puzzle,” he said, with a variety of investment capabilities that previously were offered individually by Nuveen Asset Management but will now be offered through the group.
Mr. Wilson was managing director, customized strategies, at Cutwater Asset Management. Jason Cameron, managing director and head of collateralized debt obligation, and Kevin Loescher, director, LDI strategy and implementation, will assume Mr. Wilson's duties, according to Christopher Keating, Cutwater managing director, global sales and distribution.
