Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, issued an RFQ for an international equity fund for the Texa$aver 401(k) and 457 plans it administers, confirmed Mary Jane Wardlow, an ERS spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
The $1.6 billion 401(k) plan and $443 million 457 plan now offer the Fidelity Diversified International Fund as an investment option. Ms. Wardlow said the search is needed as part of the regular rebidding process for the defined contribution plans. The fund switch will become effective on July 1, 2014, the beginning of the pension fund's 2015 fiscal year.
The RFQ is available on the pension fund's website.
