Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed $20 million to OrbiMed Private Investments V, a venture capital fund that invests globally in health-care companies, according to a transaction report on the pension fund's website.
The commitment is the $20.8 billion pension fund's first to a fund in the series managed by OrbiMed Advisors.
