Louisiana Teachers' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, made two new commitments for a total of up to $75 million, confirmed Dana Brown, director of public markets.
The $15.4 billion pension fund committed up to $50 million to Waterton Precious Metals Fund II, a commodities fund managed by Waterton Global Resource Management. It is a first-time commitment to the manager, Mr. Brown said in a telephone interview.
The pension fund also committed up to $25 million to Enhanced Credit Supported Loan Fund, a private debt fund managed by Enhanced Capital Partners.
