Clara Kim joined alternative investment manager Black River Asset Management as managing director, marketing and strategic client management for North America.
Ms. Kim's New York-based position is new and is part of an expansion of Black River's investor relations team, according to a news release from the Cargill-owned money manager.
James Gruver, Black River's global head of investor relations, did not respond to a request for more information about Ms. Kim's duties.
Ms. Kim was head of marketing, investor relations and business development-Americas, at long/short credit hedge fund manager Lucidus Capital Partners. Information about Ms. Kim's replacement there could not be learned.
Black River managed $6 billion in hedge fund and private equity strategies as of Oct. 31, according to the news release.
