Chris Scibelli joined alternative investment firm Ares Management as relationship manager, sources said.
It is a new position. Mr. Scibelli will report to David Reilly, chief business development officer.
Mr. Scibelli declined to comment.
Until June, Mr. Scibelli was a managing director at TCW Group. TCW hired Joseph Carieri in June to replace Mr. Scibelli.
