Pennsylvania State University’s endowment returned a net 11.3% for its fiscal year ended June 30, according to a news release issued by the university.
The University Park, Pa.-based endowment currently has $1.93 billion in assets under management, up 9% from the year ended June 30, 2012, when the endowment reported a return of 3.5%. The 10-year annualized net return as of June 30 was 8.6%.
As of June 30, the endowment’s asset allocation was 51% equity; 18% fixed income and cash; 12% real-return assets, which include TIPS, real estate, natural resources/commodities; 10% private equity and venture capital; and 9% hedge funds.
