Ocala, Fla., hired ICMA-RC as bundled provider of its 457 and 401(a) plans, confirmed Corrin Fitsemons, lead buyer for the city's procurement department.
The city had issued an invitation to negotiate in June for a firm to provide administrative, custodial and investment services because the new 401(a) plan was launching Oct. 1. ICMA-RC was the incumbent provider for the 457 plan.
Also effective Oct. 1, the city's defined benefit pension plan, the $94 million Ocala (Fla.) General Employees' Retirement System, was closed to new hires.
