Heather L. Fernstrom joined National Real Estate Advisors as director of investor relations, an NREA spokeswoman confirmed.
It is a new position. Ms. Fernstrom will be responsible for increasing the firm's relationships with institutional investors worldwide. NREA manages the majority of the real estate portfolio of the $10 billion National Electric Benefit Fund, Rockville, Md., and is owned by the union.
Ms. Fernstrom was vice president for client relations at real estate investment firm Hunt Investment Management, a subsidiary of Hunt Cos. Brenda Christman, senior vice president,corporate communications, for Hunt Cos. could not be reached by press time.
