Pam Holding was named chief investment officer at Pyramis Global Advisors, confirmed Michael Jones, company president and CEO.
Ms. Holding will replace Young Chin effective Jan. 1. Mr. Chin plans to retire at the end of this year.
Ms. Holding told Pensions & Investments she plans to follow the same investment policies and processes that Mr. Chin established. She will report to Mr. Jones.
Ms. Holding was named head of portfolio management at Pyramis earlier this year. She will continue to hold some of those responsibilities; other tasks will be assumed by the company's investment team, said Pyramis spokesman Jeff Cathie.
