Real estate experts are predicting that retail properties will see annualized returns of 9.7% through 2015 - 40 basis points higher than industrial properties and 66 basis points higher than office properties. The overall NCREIF Property index is expected to return 8.6% over the same period. The results are based on the Urban Land Institute and Ernst & Young’s semiannual survey that looks at numerous real estate indicators for the coming three-year period.
