Neil Mason was named managing director and lead portfolio manager for the GLG multistrategy portfolios at Man Group, the company confirmed Monday.
Mr. Mason will be based in London and will report to Luke Ellis, president of Man Group.
Mr. Mason was previously chief risk officer at Harvard Management Co., which oversees the $31 billion Harvard University endowment, Cambridge, Mass. He left in July and was replaced by Jake Xia.
Separately, Peter J. Grondin was named senior research analyst for the GLG North American equities team. He was previously an analyst at Millennium Management; officials at the firm could not be reached by press time.
