Ricardo Adrogue and Brigitte Posch were hired as managing directors to lead a new emerging markets debt team at Babson Capital Management, a spokesman confirmed.
They are new positions. Both report to Russell Morrison, managing director and head of global fixed income.
Mr. Adrogue and Ms. Posch were the first ones hired for the emerging markets debt team. Babson Capital plans to make additional hires in the coming months as it builds out the team.
“Expanding our already robust global fixed-income platform to include an emerging market debt capability builds on our firm's core strengths and supports our strategy of providing customized investment solutions for our clients,” said Thomas Finke, chairman and CEO at Babson, in a news release.
Mr. Adrogue will head the team and oversee portfolio management activities for sovereign and local currency strategies; Ms. Posch will head portfolio management activities for all emerging markets corporate debt strategies.
Mr. Adrogue was most recently member and emerging markets fixed-income portfolio manager at Cabezon Investment Group. Ms. Posch was executive vice president and head of emerging markets corporates at Pacific Investment Management Co. Officials from both firms could not be reached for replacement information.
