Patrick Murphy was named CEO of New York Life Retirement Plan Services, confirmed spokeswoman Theresa Wolcott.
Mr. Murphy replaces David Castellani, who is taking on the newly created position of senior vice president and business information officer for New York Life Insurance Co. He will be responsible for translating business goals into enterprise technology solutions and will report to Frank Boccio, executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Mr. Murphy reports to Drew Lawton, senior managing director, New York Life Investments.
Mr. Murphy was previously managing director and head of sales for New York Life Retirement Plan Services. It has not been determined how that role will be filled, Ms. Wolcott said.
