Shelby County Retirement System, Memphis, Tenn., hired Wilshire Associates as investment consultant, confirmed David Pontius, manager of pension investments.
The $1 billion pension fund issued an RFP in April because it had been more than five years since the retirement system's last search for a consultant.
Other finalists were incumbent Consulting Services Group, Bogdahn Group, Marquette Associates and Strategic Investment Solutions.
