Amanda Young was named head of sustainable and responsible investment at Standard Life Investments, confirmed Yvonne Soulsby, press manager.
Also, Rebecca Maclean and Alix Chosson joined Standard Life as socially responsible investment managers; both positions are new.
Ms. Young replaces Julie McDowell, who retired earlier this year. Ms. Young was social responsible investment officer at Newton Investment Management; Mike Dunn, Newton spokesman, wasn't able to respond by publication time on how the position might be filled.
Acre Resources assisted in recruiting candidates for Ms Young's position, Ms. Soulsby said.
Ms. Maclean was a senior research analyst at Trucost and Ms. Chosson was an SRI analyst at Generali Investments.
SLI is adding SRI staff because sustainable investing is “increasingly more important to our clients,” Ms. Soulsby said.
SLI had £178.8 billion ($289.4 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
