Shelton, Conn., issued an RFQ for consultants to the city and board of education's combined $49.4 million 401(a), 457 and 403(b) defined contribution plans, according to Gene Sullivan, Shelton's director of purchasing.
According to the RFQ, the 401(a) and 457 plans are currently administered by ING, while the 403(b) plan is administered by MetLife. Mr. Sullivan said the search is being conducted because the current consultants' contracts are expiring. He did not specify whether they may rebid.
The announcement for the RFQ can be found on the city's website. Proposals are to be sent in duplicate to Mr. Sullivan, purchasing agent, 54 Hill Street, Shelton, Conn. 06484.
Proposals are due by 11 a.m. EDT Oct. 26. A selection date was not disclosed.
