Louisiana Firefighters' Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired Acadian Asset Management and OFI Global Asset Management to run $30 million each in active emerging markets equities, according to recently released board meeting minutes.
The $1.3 billion pension fund issued an RFP in May. Other finalists were Dimensional Fund Advisors and Neuberger Berman.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
Also, the pension fund named finalists in its search for its first active emerging markets debt manager. The finalists are Investec Asset Management, Mondrian Investment Partners and Pacific Investment Management Co. An RFP was issued in June. Information on the portfolio size was not available by press time.
Information on the funding sources for both searches could not be learned by press time.
