Ohio Public Employees' Retirement System, Columbus, committed $250 million to GI Partners IV, a middle-market corporate buyout fund, confirmed spokesman Michael Pramik.
It is a first-time commitment to the manager for the retirement system, which includes $70.8 billion in defined benefit plan assets.
Separately, the retirement system increased its investment to $150 million from $100 million in Discovery Global Macro Partnership, a discretionary global macro hedge fund run by Discovery Capital Management.
