Mark Gertzof was named managing director in the TCW direct lending group, confirmed spokeswoman Jenn Gill.
It is a new position. Mr. Gertzof is involved in the origination, due diligence review, structuring and execution of new investments. He will also contribute to the ongoing management of portfolio companies. He reports to Rick Miller, group managing director and head of the direct lending group.
The direct lending group has raised more than $3.9 billion in capital since its inception in 2000.
Mr. Gertzof was most recently co-founder and managing partner at Monroe Credit Advisors, in charge of day-to-day operations. The firm will now move to more of a “management by committee,” with managing directors Christopher Gentry, Brent Krambeck and Michael Meyer taking on the leadership roles, said Mr. Gentry, who is also a co-founder and partner.
