Atlanta General Employees' Pension Fund extended the due date for proposals in its search for an investment consultant, according to an addendum posted on the city's procurement website.
Gray & Co. is the $1.2 billion pension fund's current consultant and is advising the board of trustees on a month-by-month basis following the expiration of its contract on Dec. 31, 2010.
An RFP originally had been approved in January 2012 and was issued in October 2012.
Kristen Denius assistant city attorney said at the board of trustees' Jan. 9 meeting the RFP would need to be reissued because there was wording in the RFP “that asked for responses on a different set of services not intended to be included.” The RFP was reissued Aug. 1 with an original due date of Aug. 28.
Proposals are now due at 1:59 p.m. EDT Oct. 1. A timetable for a decision could not be learned by press time. The RFP is available on the city's website.
Alfred Berry Jr., chairman of the board of trustees, did not respond to inquiries by press time.
