Paul Price was named head of the long-only global distribution team, and Fred McMullen was named head of the liquidity global distribution team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, according to an internal memo.
The positions are new.
Mr. Price will support sales efforts across MSIM, including the client development partnerships the long-only sales team maintains with its alternative investment partners and the merchant banking and real estate investing units of MSIM globally, and will also join the long-only executive committee, said spokesman Matt Burkhard. He will report to Arthur Lev, managing director at MSIM and head of long only and alternative investment partners.
Mr. McMullen will lead MSIM’s liquidity global distribution efforts. He will continue to report to Kevin Klingert, head of liquidity at MSIM.
Mr. Price was previously head of international distribution at MSIM, while Mr. McMullen was head of Americas distribution for liquidity. Both Messrs. Price and McMullen were managing directors and will maintain their previous responsibilities in addition to managing their new positions.
In addition, Lisa Jones, MSIM’s managing director and global head of distribution, has left the company. Mr. Price will assume her responsibilities. And Geoffrey Mullen, managing director and head of institutional sales for alternative investment partners, is leaving the firm to pursue other opportunities. His responsibilities will be absorbed by the unit’s sales team.
