Robert B. Fitzpatrick joined Harmonic Capital as managing director of North American distribution.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is the first U.S. employee of London-based hedge fund manager Harmonic Capital Partners and is based in the firm's newly established Boston office, said Alastair Smith, partner and head of investor relations.
Mr. Fitzpatrick is focusing on marketing the global macro manager's strategies to U.S. and Canadian institutional investors, with a focus on corporate and public pension plans.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was director, global consultant relations and business development, for First Quadrant. Chuck Quan, First Quadrant's director of human resources, did not return a call seeking information and Mr. Fitzpatrick's replacement.
