San Francisco City & County Employees' Retirement System, made two new private equity commitments for a total of up to $50 million, confirmed Robert Shaw, interim deputy director for investments.
The $17.2 billion pension fund committed up to $25 million each to DCM Ventures China Fund VII, managed by Doll Capital Management, and OrbiMed Private Investments V, managed by OrbiMed Advisors.
It is the second commitment for the pension fund to a Doll Capital fund and the first to OrbiMed.

The pension fund also made a follow-on commitment of up to $25 million to Fidelity Real Estate Opportunistic Income Fund managed by Fidelity Investments. The pension fund originally made a commitment of $25 million to the evergreen fund in 2008.
