Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, has issued an RFQ for large-cap growth equity index funds for the Texa$aver 401(k) and 457 plans it administers, confirmed Mary Jane Wardlow, an ERS spokeswoman, in an e-mail.
The $1.6 billion 401(k) plan and $443 million 457 plan now offer the Vanguard Growth Index Fund as an investment option. A replacement is sought because Vanguard changed the fund's benchmark, which a staff review determined would reduce the return rate, Ms. Wardlow said.
The RFQ is available online. Responses are due to ERS by noon CST on Nov. 7.
