Seattle City Employees' Retirement System will search for an investment consultant this fall, confirmed Ken Nakatsu, interim executive director.
An RFP likely will be issued in late October or November, Mr. Nakatsu said in a telephone interview. Incumbent Pension Consulting Alliance will be invited to rebid. PCA's contract expired at the end of June, but was extended for another year.
PCA also provides real estate and private equity consulting services for the $2.1 billion pension fund. Mr. Nakatsu said the RFP is just for a general investment consultant.
The RFP will be posted on the plan's website. A hiring decision could be made in January.
