Drew Pfeifer was named senior vice president at Summit Strategies Group, confirmed spokesman Tim Towe.
It is a new position. Mr. Pfeifer will lead Summit Solutions, an institutional program providing portfolio construction and investment outsourcing. His main responsibilities include marketing and business development. He reports to Stephen Holmes, president.
“We are trying to grow that end of the business and wanted someone with that experience to run the business,” Mr. Towe said in a telephone interview.
Mr. Pfeifer was most recently manager, pension asset management, at Rockwell Automation, which had about $2.5 billion in its pension plan as of Dec. 31, according its most recent Form 5500 filing. Spokesman Keith Lester could not be reached by press time for replacement information.
Summit manages $1.3 billion in separate and commingled strategies as discretionary consultant.
