Christine C. Smith will assume the duties of chief operating officer at Parametric Portfolio Associates on Sept. 2, company spokesman Kurt Galley confirmed Monday.
Current COO Andrew Abramsky will retire on Friday. Ms. Smith, who joined Parametric on May 31 as chief administrative officer, will assume Mr. Abramsky's duties on Sept. 2, but she will keep her current title.
Mr. Abramsky, a 16-year Parametric veteran, will remain at the company part time for six months to support the transition.
Parametric is a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp.
