Thomas H. Brownell was named president and CEO of Sentinel Asset Management, a spokesman confirmed.
He replaces Christian Thwaites, who left in June to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Brownell took over as interim CEO and president when Mr. Thwaites left.
Mr. Brownell is chief investment officer of parent company National Life Group as well as a senior vice president at Sentinel. He reports to Mehran Assadi, president and CEO of National Life Group.
Sentinel had $26.3 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
