Eugene Bang joined BNY Mellon Investment Management in Seoul as head of the firm's Korean investment management business.
Mr. Bang replaces Yoohee Won, who left the firm earlier this year, according to a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman.
Mr. Won couldn't be reached immediately for comment.
According to a BNY Mellon news release, Mr. Bang will report to Alan Harden, Hong Kong-based CEO for BNY Mellon's Asia-Pacific investment management business.
Mr. Bang comes to BNY Mellon from Deutsche Asset Management Korea, where he served as a director and head of retail sales until early this year, according to a news release.
Stuart Haslam, a Singapore-based spokesman for Deutsche Bank AG, declined comment.
