San Diego City Employees' Retirement System committed $20 million to Europa Capital's fourth fund, Europa Fund IV, a non-core, pan-European real estate fund, said Christina Dileva, spokeswoman for the $6.2 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
SDCERS had invested in Europa Fund III.
Separately, the board at its Aug. 9 meeting terminated INTECH as manager of a $200 million actively managed domestic equity enhanced index strategy, to save on costs. The assets will be moved to an S&P 500 index fund managed by BlackRock.
The board also is transferring $75 million from Brandes Investment Partners' $230 million non-U.S. equity large-cap value equity portfolio to a MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. Investible Market index fund, also managed by BlackRock.
