Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, enjoyed returns that slightly topped its benchmark in every measurement period over the past 10 years.
As of June 30, the $24.2 billion pension fund returned 0.04% for the quarter; 11% for the 12 months; 10.6%, three years; 5.2%, five years; and 7% for the 10 years, according to a performance report presented to the board of trustees at Tuesday's meeting.
The benchmark returns for the same periods were -0.49%, 10.9%, 10.5%, 5.1% and 6.6%, respectively.
All returns are net of fees, and multiyear returns are annualized.
