William Tsotsos was named senior vice president and head of Canada at Old Mutual Asset Management, according to a news release from the company.
The position is new, according to OMAM spokesman Douglas Hesney.
Mr. Tsotsos will be in charge of leading the organization's marketing efforts in the Canadian institutional marketplace. In particular, he will focus on introducing the investment capabilities of OMAM's nine affiliates to institutional investors. He will report to Brian Carroll, head of North American distribution for OMAM.
Prior to joining OMAM, Mr. Tsotsos was managing director at Baring Asset Management, where he was senior relationship director responsible for business development, consultant relations and client service in Canada and the U.S.
