James Comtois has joined Pensions & Investments as a reporter in the New York office. He will cover money managers.
Mr. Comtois succeeds Douglas Appell, who covered money managers from the Boston office. Mr. Appell opened P&I's Singapore news bureau last fall.
Previously, Mr. Comtois was a reporter for PERE, a division of Private Equity International, which focused on the private equity real estate sector. Before that, he wrote for such publications as Crain's New York Business, National Mortgage News and what was CBS MarketWatch.
He has a bachelor's degree in English literature from Boston University.
