Falmouth (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an international equity manager to run about $11.5 million, according to an RFP posted on the website of the pension fund's investment consultant, Wainwright Investment Counsel.
According to the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission's 2012 annual report, Invesco and Denver Investments manage international equity strategies for the $98 million pension fund. Denver manages a small-cap strategy. It could not be learned whether the search is to potentially replace the current managers.
The pension plan will consider active and passive strategies, according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on Wainwright's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT Sept. 16. A hiring date was not specified.
The pension fund referred all questions to Wainwright. Officials at the consultant declined to answer any questions.
