Mesa, Ariz., selected Great-West Retirement Services as bundled provider for the city’s two deferred compensation programs, confirmed Chuck Odom, the city’s senior executive manager and member of the programs’ committees.
The city issued RFPs in February for providers for the $127 million Mesa Deferred Compensation Program and the $32 million Fire & Medical Department Deferred Compensation Program.
The existing providers for the general employees’ 457 plan were Great-West and Hartford Retirement Services. MassMutual Financial, which purchased Hartford’s retirement business in 2012, did bid for the services.
Hartford was the sole provider of the fire and medical department plan, and MassMutual was one of the bidders for that RFP as well.
