Orange County Employees Retirement System, Santa Ana, Calif., hired Loomis, Sayles & Co. and Pacific Investment Management Co. to each manage $100 million in absolute-return fixed income, said Robert Kinsler, spokesman for the $10.4 billion pension fund, in an e-mail.
The pension fund also committed $50 million to KTR Industrial Fund III, a non-core real estate fund managed by KTR Capital Partners. The pension fund is in the process of selling properties in its separate accounts and using the money to fund the commitment, Mr. Kinsler wrote.
Separately, general investment consultant NEPC will be conducting a search for an emerging markets core equity manager. Further information was unavailable by press time.
